  • Operate in Faith as a Soldier of Christ

In every situation, decide to hold on to your faith. Believe everything will work out fine no matter how things might begin to look.

As Christians, we live by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). After all, God is the final authority in any given situation, and He knows exactly what He wants to do in your life.

The Bible says "The just shall live by faith," and "Without faith, it's impossible to please God" (Romans 1:17 and Hebrews 11:6).

Operating in faith is taking God at His Word by believing what He says is true. We know we believe what He says is true if we're acting like it is, for faith without works is dead (James 2:20).

Many times we become so weary in waiting for our desires to manifest that it becomes extremely discouraging. Just like I always say, the devil is not just gonna stand by and watch while God prospers us. 1 Timothy 6:12 says we must “Fight the good fight of faith!”

We must not allow discouragement to dim our hope! There will always be a reason to feel discouraged, but always a better reason to reject discouragement. It's promised in Galations 6:9 that we're to not grow weary in well doing, for in due season we will reap if we don't lose heart.

If we become gloomy and hopeless, it shows a lack of confidence in God’s presence, power, and promises. Keep in mind that God’s glory is real even when we don’t see it. On gray, gloomy, rainy days, high above the overcast sky, the sun continues to shine. We cannot feel its warmth or see its beauty, but that doesn't mean it's not there.

God’s promises are forever established. So even if our circumstances are difficult, we must think “above the clouds” and know that God is still there too.

Just as gray, gloomy, overcast skies are temporary, so are our difficulties. If you're facing a discouraging situation in your life right now, remember God's still there, and rejoice in the fact that this too shall pass!

No one said the Christian life would be easy. Just look what they did to Jesus. In fact, 2 Timothy 2:3 says, “You therefore must endure hardship as a soldier of Jesus Christ.” As soldiers, we're to fight the good fight of faith that God may be able to fulfill His plan for our lives.

Since you're a follower of Christ, the devil will fight you every step of the way. But stay encouraged! Psalms 18:29 says, “In Your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall!”
