The Baha'is Under the Provisions of the Covenant
This is the Genealogy of Baha'u'llah, The HEIR to the THRONE OF DAVID,
showing His lineage from Bostanai (the exilarch: exiled Davidic monarch)
the son of King David.
I "The Ancient Beauty ruleth upon the Throne of David."
-Baha'u'llah, Proclamation of Baha'u'llah, p.89
(Follow the RED line)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace
there shall be no end, upon the throne of David,
and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it
with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
-Isaiah 9:6-7
The title "Prince of Peace" is often attributed to Yahushua Hamashiach. Indeed, when one visits many Christian churches they will often see banners or placards quoting this verse in reference to His Holiness Christ. The first line, "for unto us a child..." quite possibly could be attributed to Yahushua because he was a child, the son born of Joseph and Mary, but at this point the similarities cease. Upon deeper investigation we can see that this selection from the book of Isaiah is not in reference to Jesus but rather, another glorious Personage. The passage continues: "...the government shall be upon his shoulder." The only thing Jesus ever said about government is "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and render unto God the things that are God's." It calls this holy One the everlasting Father, but Yahushua was called the Son. Many believe that because Yahushua' message was Love, that he must be the Prince of Peace. But truly, he wasn't a Prince but a carpenter and when he spoke of peace said: "I have not come to bring peace, but a sword." And finally it says "...upon the throne of David..." Yahushua was a direct line male sperm descendent of king David, this is why he was the Christ, as the meaning of the word Christ is an anointed male sperm descendent of king David. But he did not sit on the THRONE of David. The Throne was passed down to Solomon, while Yahushua was born of the sperm of Joseph (see Romans 1:3,4) who was descended from Solomon's brother Nathan as shown in the genealogy recorded in the Gospel of Luke (see chart above.).
Nay rather, this verse from the book of Isaiah is an exact match and description of the mission of Baha'u'llah, the second coming of Christ. As the chart above clearly shows, Baha'u'llah is seated upon the the Throne of David, as it was passed down to Him from father to son in an unbroken chain all the way back to king David himself (see the RED line.) His name means the Father (Aramaic: Baha=Glory u=of Allah=God, Lord or Father. See Mark 8:38) Baha'u'llah brought a plan and a blueprint for a spiritual world government, the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, that will bring justice and peace to the world and that will last at least half a million years. His lineage from David is continued through His sons(see Psalms 89) as the executive branch of this government and is the sign of God distinguishing His Universal House of Justice from fakes, frauds and imitations. This verse is clearly speaking of Baha'u'llah as further investigation will confirm.
More about the mission of Baha'u'llah is contained in the book of Isaiah chapter 11 verses 1-10:
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse,
and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of counsel and might,
the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding
in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge
after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor,
and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth:
and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins,
and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;
and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed;
their young ones shall lie down together:
and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp,
and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse,
which shall stand for an ensign of the people;
to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Abdu'l-Baha explains:
This rod out of the stem of Jesse might be correctly applied to Christ, for Joseph was of the descendants of Jesse, the father of David; but as Christ found existence through the Spirit of God, He called Himself the Son of God. If He had not done so, this description would refer to Him..."They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." These conditions did not prevail in the time of the manifestation of Christ; for until today various and antagonistic nations exist in the world, very few acknowledge the God of Israel, and the greater number are without the knowledge of God...
But these verses apply word for word to Baha'u'llah: likewise in this marvelous cycle the earth will be transformed, and the world of humanity arrayed in tranquility and beauty. Disputes, quarrels and murders will be replaced by peace, truth, and concord; among the nations, peoples, races and countries, love and amity will appear. Cooperation and union will be established, and finally war will be entirely suppressed...
One of the great events which is to occur in the Day of the manifestation of that Incomparable Branch is the hoisting of the Standard of God among all nations; meaning that all nations and tribes will come under the shadow of this Divine Banner, which is no other than the Lordly Branch itself, and will become a single nation. The antagonism of faiths and religions, the hostility of races and peoples, and the national differences, will be eradicated from amongst them. All will become one religion, one faith, one race, and one single people, and will dwell in one native land, which is the terrestrial globe. Universal peace and concord will be realized, and that Incomparable Branch will gather together all Israel [under its new name Baha'i -- of Glory ( Isaiah 62:2, Rev. 3:15, Isaiah 6:3, Ezekiel 43:2)]: signifying that in this cycle Israel [Baha'i] will be gathered in the Holy Land [Kingdom of God in America] and that the Jewish people who are scattered to the East and West, South and North will be assembled together."
-`Abdu'l-Baha: Some Answered Questions, Chapter XII: Commentary on the Eleventh Chapter of Isaiah, Pgs: 72-76
Abdu'l-Baha tells us that one of the great events to occur is the hoisting of this Standard of God, which is none other than the genealogy of Baha'u'llah, the Lordly Branch, shown explicitly here on this genealogy chart above. It is this Divine Banner only, which can unite the contending and warring people of the world. The Standard of God is now unfurled for all eyes to see, it is hoisted high as the noon day sun.
